As soon as I saw the picture in our local paper (Vancouver Sun – Canwest Global), I knew the caption underneath it describing the number of participants would be “accidentally” massively understated. So I clipped it out and waited for official numbers to be reported somewhere.
Well lo and behold, it was understated. The official estimate is …. not “hundreds” but somewhat more than that. Shocka!
No, the official estimate was 5,995. Even a complete moron cannot mistake “hundreds” with many, many “thousands”. No, you’d have to do that on purpose to underplay the amount of support there is for the PRO-LIFE cause.
And please, people, note how we’re called “anti abortion” in the caption. As everybody in the entire world knows, we call ourselves “pro-life”, not “anti-abortion”, and all reporters know that only too well. That’s because we all know—even those fair and balanced liberal reporters—that being labeled “anti-anything” comes off sounding like a negative, and thus unappealing—again, as liberal reporters and news editors know only too well. That’s why liberal reporters and news editors are always extremely careful to call the pro-abortion folks “pro-choice”, instead of “anti-life”.
The caption underneath says:
