OK here’s the setup: the Conservatives have rightly cut funding to women’s groups, because of course it was money being spent stupidly and for nothing but pro-liberal-leftist and anti-conservative nonsense, which of course liberals are for but democracy-loving non-fascists are against.
An MP from Layton’s you’ve got to be kidding party raised her voice in a Committee meeting, which ironically is just about all that these leftist women’s groups live for, and says:
“These changes that you have made will make it impossible to sustain the women’s movement in Canada. Your government is not listening to women’s groups, it is not living up to Canada’s international obligations” .
She says it like it was a bad thing.
Get it? Oh… good times!
That was New Democrat Party MP Irene Mathyssen, otherwise known as “who?”.
Mizzz Who said:
“[I]mpossible to sustain the women’s movement in Canada.” That’s a plus!
“Your government is not listening to women’s groups.” Ditto.
“[I]t is not living up to Canada’s international obligations.” Baloney. (And since when did you and your you’ve got to be kidding party care about Canada’s international obligations?)
Then she started sputtering some things I totally agreed with which therefore I also found very funny. I love Fridays!
“I have to say that I think it’s important that I demand your resignation from the Status of Women portfolio.”
I agree because I think the whole ministry should be heartily laughed out of the Canadian lexicon.
Then she ruined it and said:
“Until and unless you are prepared to do your job, we need someone else in that role.”
No we don’t, we need to eliminate that role. While we’re at it, I think we should eliminate you’ve got to be kidding Party MP Mizzz Irene Mathyssen’s role too.
Now can we talk about Rona Ambrose again please?
