Gosh—liberals raising taxes. You’d think they’d have raised them enough by now.
But gay socialist big government-loving Liberal Party leadership contender (former Progressive Conservative Party leadership contender) Scott (“Fancy Pants from Kings-Hants”) Brison says he would raise taxes if elected Liberal Party leader.
Of course he would then have to be elected as Prime Minister of Canada before raising taxes.
But common grass roots Canadians aren’t interested in Brison being their leader. Canadians are more curious about the email he sent to a liberal-friendly Brison-friendly banker “pal” last year just before the former failed Liberal government announced a major change in taxation laws for investors coincidentally just before the election, in which he wrote: “I think you will be happier very soon… this week probably”. And he was happier!
I think Canadians are also practical people and are curious about when Brison plans to marry his boyfriend (a federal government employee), and Canadians wonder: if Brison were to became the leader of their beloved country Canada, would the happy couple be called Mr. Prime Minister Scott Brison and first husband Maxime St. Pierre? And would they travel the world together meeting other heads of state—like those in China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Syria? And would they make babies and become the model for the new liberal-style normal Canadian family? And if so, how, exactly?
Maxime and Scott are currently “engaged”. I read all about it at the “Gay News” section of 365Gay.com. So I think they will be both “be happier very soon”… this year probably.
Anyway, here’s Brison’s plans for raising taxes, by raising the GST which the Liberals promised to scrap, over and over, because it was a dumb and gutless tax (Hat tip: Mister Kim):

Liberal leadership hopeful Scott Brison says he would scrap the Conservatives’ GST cut if he becomes prime minister.
“Canada needs gutsy and smart tax reform. Stephen Harper’s GST cut is dumb and gutless. It makes no sense economically or socially,” the Kings-Hants MP said Friday following a breakfast meeting with the Harbourside Rotary Club in Halifax.
“It is pure short-term vote buying.”
When asked if that means he would repeal the sales tax cut, Mr. Brison said “absolutely.”
Instead, Mr. Brison said he would make the case that the $10 billion a year for the GST cut would be better spent on a working income tax benefit for low-income Canadians.
“What Stephen Harper proposed will benefit high-income Canadians that are spending a lot of money far more than it will benefit lower-income Canadians,” he told reporters. […]
