Laser-visioned PTBC reader Maureen caught this in a Globe and Mail story today. It was an iterview with a couple of Muslim MPs, including Liberal Wajid Khan, MP for Mississauga-Streetsville.
The question asked of him in the interview was:
How can the Muslim culture be better integrated and understood within the broader Canadian culture?
Mr. Khan: The thing that excited [my family] about this country, and is why I think others come here, is because its in a constant state of evolution. You can do something here, you can grow with it, you can mould it into something and that is what has happened with all the wonderful people from around the world that have come here—German, Irish, Scottish, French, English—they come here and contribute.
Integrate, contribute….. mould…. whatever.
