This is a story of such petulance and childish self-absorption on the part of the liberal media that it’s hardly worth even blogging about, but I will only because they’re such babies and they’re so unprofessional and immature that it makes me laugh a little and makes for fun reading —especially since they’ve lately taken to calling our Prime Minister “petulant” and “grumpy” and “grumbling” in their news stories
and lead editorials.
I’d suggest you join me in a good laugh at our ridiculously liberal-biased liberal media, but I have a feeling most sensible Canadians already laugh at them daily.
The self-important liberal media are exceedingly distraught over the election of a Conservative Prime Minister despite their efforts to stop this from happening, and even more so over his overwhelming success in such a short amount of time.
What has really put them over the edge, however, is that despite their repeated failed attempts at mocking Prime Minister Harper and the Conservative government, and despite repeated failed attempts at discrediting them, and repeated failed attempts at redirecting attention away from the Conservatives’ wildly successful first 100 measly days in office, the Canadian population continues to increasingly like the Conservatives. Their own liberal media-commissioned polls frustratingly show this every week—despite their blatant efforts to lead the citizenry the other way.
They’re like cornered rats. Nothing is working out for them! Poor babies.
So in a paramount display of petulance and unprofessional conduct, they say they will conduct the Harper press conferences the way they decide they want to, or nothing, because unfortunately, they think they’re the boss of him.
Harper to avoid national media, claiming bias
OTTAWA —Prime Minister Stephen Harper says the national media are biased against him so he will avoid them from now on.
The prime minister says the Ottawa press gallery seems to have decided to become the opposition to his Conservative government.
[…] “We’ll just take the message out on the road. There’s lots of media who do want to ask questions and hear what the government is doing.”
Two dozen Ottawa reporters walked out on a Harper event this week when he refused to take their questions.
[…] Harper has grumbled publicly about an anti-Conservative bias in the media before—but not since becoming prime minister.
“I have trouble believing that a Liberal prime minister would have this problem,” he said Wednesday.
“But the press gallery at the leadership level has taken an anti-Conservative view.” […]
No way. There’s no bias in the media. The CBC told us so. They told us that only Fox News Channel is biased.
Something’s got to give. I suggest the Prime Minister, since he was elected, should probably just keep on being the Prime Minister. The media, since they work mostly for liberal interests, should just suck it up.
You’d think this was a joke.
For their part, in their coverage of this “story” (which is of their own making), the state-run media promises on the multi-million-dollar state-owned web site, to have a journalist at every Harper event to ask questions.
The CBC says it will continue to cover the prime minister. “If the prime minister chooses to take questions we will be there to ask them,” said Ottawa managing editor George Hoff. “We will have a journalist there to ask questions,” he said.
Well gee, thanks, state-employees of the state-run media who is among the worst offenders of an anti-conservative bias. But actually, we’ll all be better off if we never hear from you again. And as for the rest of you in the liberal media, you could always get jobs for the Liberal Party or the NDP, and some of you will be happier over at the Marxist-Leninist Party as you know.
