Followup: School blames… me? … for need to cancel anti-Christmas song

This week I helped expose some liberal-left political-correctness useful idiots as the moonbats and morons that they are.  I even awarded them a newly named PTBC Secular-Progressive, Liberal-left, Useful Idiot, Moonbat Award.  That was Wednesday.

Briefly, an elementary school in Ottawa run by the cranial-cavity-challenged decided that changing the actual words of a Christmas song in order to fit their atheist or anti-Christian liberal-left political-correctness “progressive” agenda would be an absolutely fine idea.  The teachers leading the Elmdale Public School choir dropped the word “Christmas” from the famous Christmas song Silver Bells, and replaced it with the word “festive.” So, when the choir was to perform the song at a Christmas singalong assembly, instead of singing the line “soon it will be Christmas day” they would say “soon it will be a festive day.”

I also supplied the school’s address and phone and fax number to you could let them know how you feel about their idiocy.

Today the liberals’ state-run CBC web site is reporting that as a result of a massive number of complaints sent to the school—many of them containing “foul language” (oh my—not “foul language”!) the school chose to cancel the song.  And they blame it on… well, I guess, me, basically!

The equally hideous state-run CBC headlines it this way in order to make it sound like the school is a “victim”:  “Ottawa school threatened after Christmas song cuts”

The only “victim” here are little boys and girls who are subject to the abject stupidity of today’s “progressive” teachers.

An elementary school in Ottawa was flooded with hateful and threatening e-mails and phone calls after media reports that it had removed the word “Christmas” from a song to be performed at its Christmas concert.

, including some containing foul language.

Lynn Scott, chair of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, said some callers accused the school of being anti-Christian and some threatened teachers and officials at the school.

“It’s appalling to me that people could be so intolerant and disrespectful and hateful at a time of the year like this when we’re supposed to be thinking about generosity and peace and good will,” she said. “I’m not seeing very many Christian values in the reaction we’ve had.”

[…]

When news of the plan reached the media, some radio call-in shows and blogs encouraged people to contact the school in protest.

Scott said the result is that children didn’t have the kind of Christmas experience they should have.

“What’s really unfortunate is the way that sensationalizing this, as has happened, has really put a damper on what should have been a delightful Christmas seasonal celebration for the children at Elmdale,” she said.

As a result, I’m forced to do the unusual—in fact it’s never been done before:  I must award them the PTBC Liberal-left Secular-Progressive Useful Idiot Moonbat Award for the second time in a week.  They are truly idiots over there at the Elmdale Public School and the Ottawa school board.

Additional Latent Followup:  I meant to mention this the other day:  On the heals of my timely exposure of what I suggested may be an act of collusion between the state-run CBC and the Liberal Party based on comments made on CTV Newsnet one day (PTBC was the first blog to expose this in detailed form), the CBC has admitted to Canadian Press that they have launched an “internal investigation” and possible “disciplinary action”.  [See “CBC reviewing claim reporter fed questions to Liberal MP”]  … Of course the proper course of action is to ban any state-owned or state-run media in this country, and enshrine that notion in our constitution, as I keep saying.
