Today in our Columnist section, Rebecca Hagelin says it like it is, and hopes you see it like it is, as she reviews a book by the Washington Times editorial page editor, Tony Blankley, called “The West’s Last Chance”. She recommends it, and that’s good enough for me.
Thousands of anti-war protesters (and pro-war counter protesters) marched in Washington, D.C., this past weekend, and emotions ran high. They filled the air with angry questions about everything from how soon we’ll withdraw from Iraq to how many more “children” we’re “willing to sacrifice,” as Cindy Sheehan asked the crowd.
Good luck finding anyone ready to face the real choice before America and Europe: Namely, will the West decisively confront the threat posed by radical Islam? Or will it ride its fabled “tolerance” into oblivion?
Mike Adams has finally figured out that the university at which he is an Associate Professor officially loves black people. It’s official. Make no mistake—but don’t try too hard—they’ll make sure you don’t make that mistake.
I even checked out their diversity program on my own time just for fun. Download the Diversity document (PDF) from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington! It’s over 3 megabytes and 197 pages long, making it longer and heftier than the American Constitution. So therefore you gotta know they love black people on an official basis.
At the beginning of the present academic year, UNC-W (short for the University of North Carolina — We love black people) organized a reception for minority students. I decided not to attend because, a) I’m not a student and, b) I’ve been white even longer than Michael Jackson. But, interestingly, the week after the minority reception I discovered that a fellow Caucasian had decided to crash the party, which was supposed to be racially segregated.
It may surprise readers to learn that the white person who violated the university’s policy on segregation was none other than UNC-W Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo. I have proof that the chancellor was at the otherwise segregated event because a cameraman (I sure hope he was black!) took a picture of DePaolo talking to a black student named Antonio Jenkins. That picture was posted on the UNC-W website to remind us that, a) the university is not racist and, b) Rosemary DePaolo likes black people.
The picture of Rosemary and Antonio has helped to change my whole perspective on university race relations. Some examples will explain why:
Paul Jackson makes his pick for Alberta’s Alliance Party leadership, and if I’m not mistaken, tells a cautionary tale to the Progressive Conservatives.
My money’s on Burns because she’s the best candidate to differentiate her party from all other Opposition parties, and unless the alternative to Klein’s PCs comes from the Alliance, there’s a real threat Taft’s crafty Liberals might sneak up the middle and give us the kind of policies the party’s federal wing, headed up by Paul Martin, would like to force upon us.
An utter sellout of our values to the nitwits of nihilism.
