…and then resumes their nuclear bomb-making. I’m simply astounded that negotiating with radical Islamist tyrants isn’t working out! But oh—you go team!
The National Post editorial scored some points on the Iran-building-nuclear-bombs matter (or as liberals call it, tea-time!), this morning:
It should have been to no one’s great surprise that Iran this week unapologetically resumed its controversial uranium processing, calling European Union incentives—meant to convince Tehran to stop uranium enrichment for good—“an insult to the Iranian nation for which [France, Britain and Germany] must apologize.” The response of the EU and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should have been immediate: To ask the UN Security Council to implement sanctions.
Instead, the international community has followed up with equivocation.
[…] It is time, then, for the appeasement to end. Iran had an opportunity to co-operate and has thrown it back in the EU’s face.
Iran’s government knows weakness when it sees it.
(So yes, they know about Canada, too.)
