Out here on the west coast, we’re not terribly concerned about a winter election. Not that I want to rub your noses in it. Much.
I just saw TV pictures of the weather in Winnipeg (blizzard, real nice). That naturally inspired me to engage in that smug west coast tradition, which is to immediately whip out our digital cameras and take a picture (we used to simply paint a picture in the old pre-digital age of course). Then post the picture on the internet (we used to, well, not do that).
So here’s a picture I took about 90 seconds ago out my office window. Yes those are Petunias still blooming. And yes those are Hydrangeas and Geraniums still in flower. Outside of camera range are a bunch of fresh Dahlias and Fuchsias and what not. Lawn will need mowing on the weekend.
Maybe just the west coast should vote this winter, and the folks in Ontario and Quebec could just stay home where it’s comfy. Imagine that—the votes of the west coast mattering. That would be a switch.
