Dozens of state-employed union nurses allowed to quit in disgrace, quietly avoiding media’s Kliegs

The BC Liberal Government hides the shame of its own state-employed, taxpayer-paid employees who are supposedly looking after our health.  Is there some kind of “carbon tax” that could be imposed against government-based scandals when they try to cover up its treachery?  How about a refund on our taxes?  Oh hey I know:  How about letting free enterprise hire and fire them?  That way, the media’s Klieg lights will be all over their butts!

B.C. nurses accused of theft, abuse, allowed to quit

VANCOUVER—Dozens of B.C. nurses guilty of everything from stealing narcotics to abusing patients have been allowed to quietly leave the profession over the past few years without the public ever learning of their misconduct, according to internal discipline records obtained by The Vancouver Sun.

The records, obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, show that, between January 2006 and November 2007, 45 B.C. nurses agreed to a suspension of their registration with the College of Registered Nurses after the college found serious cases of misconduct or incompetence.

[…]

The secrecy surrounding discipline for nurses is in stark contrast to how doctors are treated.

… and in stark contrast to people in the private sector…

The story is only half that state-employed nurses, who constantly presume to lecture Canadians and governments on how to run Canada’s liberal-left invented, North Korean-style healthcare system (typical talking points: pay us more!  NOW!  … More benefits!  NOW!  We work too hard!  ALL THE TIME!  Hire more of us! NOW!  … Or we’ll strike!  NOW!…  Protect us from the private sector, NOW!…), were caught in egregious acts of behavior which totally betray the public trust.

The other half of the story is that they—the government and the horrible staff—get to get away with it without being paraded in front of TV cameras on CBC and CTV and Global and so on, Enron or Conrad Black-style;  and the fact that the CBC, CTV, Global and all the liberals’ other dinosaur media aren’t in high dudgeon about the state of state-run, state-owned, big-government institutions created by leftists who wish to advance a socialism system in Canada, proving that socialism, in this case, is obviously an abject failure…

The news media should join the government employees and politicians responsible and be paraded in front of their own cameras for their joint perfidy in this mass cover-up.
