Does this mean we can stop saying “Liberal-Left”?

No, because there’s still the Communist Party and so on.  And there’s still liberals in the Conservative Party.  So darn the luck.  But anyway, here we go, as predicted!  (Hat tip: “Pissedoff”)

My question:  Will the far left socialists win out over the new name game and go with the name I use for them—the you’ve got to be kidding party?  Suggestion:  Go with either that or the “Progressive Party”—that way you’ll include the Communists who think they own the word. Buzz Hargrove suggests the Liberals and the NDP should lay the groundwork to form a coalition.

The President of the Canadian Auto Workers Union says his plan is not a merger.

Hargove says the Liberal Party of Canada should stop running candidates in NDP-friendly ridings.

He adds the NDP should pull out of Liberal strongholds.

Hargrove says he doesn’t believe anyone would have the courage to support a merger between the two parties.
