Question for media: when are you going to use the word “lie”? Or one of its many forms like “he lied”. Or “the Liberal former Prime Minister, Paul Martin, lied”. Or “Paul Martin and many of his cronies in cabinet are in actual fact liars”. These are just samples. Be creative!
Or did Mr. Harper’s belly grow a bit more this week? Because if that’s true, then move a TV crew in on that sucker. Put it on the satellite. Get Mansbridge on the horn—“no Easter bunny for you this weekend, Peter—Harper’s bellys: she’s a big ’un!”. Film at eleven, eleven fifteen, eleven thirty, with repeats at 6:00, 8:00, 8:15, 9:45, and a special on “The Passionate Eye” at 8:00, immediately following Antiques Roadshow and The Simpsons (d’oh! Homer has a big ’un too!).
Dingwall’s resignation forced by Martin PMO
According to independent report

Published: Wednesday, April 12, 2006OTTAWA (CP)—David Dingwall was indeed entitled to his entitlements, says an independent report that concludes he was unfairly forced out as head of the Royal Canadian Mint by a former Liberal government that hung him out to dry.
Dingwall, a Jean Chretien loyalist, was essentially booted out by the Paul Martin government amid unfounded attacks over Mint expenses, says George Adams, a retired Ontario Superior Court judge.
Adams’ 10-page report, released late Wednesday, justifies severance of $417,000 paid to Dingwall. It also puts Ottawa on the hook for Dingwall’s related legal costs—an amount Adams will determine “failing agreement of the parties.’‘
Martin, the former Liberal prime minister, as well as then-revenue minister John McCallum repeatedly insisted last fall that Dingwall left voluntarily after taking intense heat over hefty expenses.
Not so, says Adams, who finds Dingwall’s leave-taking was “clearly involuntary.’’
“The circumstances surrounding his departure were highly coercive to the knowledge of the prime minister, the responsible minister and the clerk,’’ of the privy council, said Adams.
