The happy-face theme for the positive style of the Conservatives new marketing strategy appears to be this “Here for Canada” motto. This is meant to form a sort of dialectic with their other ads, the more negative ads which attack Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff’s past statements and actions; and questions his possible motives — mainly whether he’s back in Canada (i.e., “here”) for himself, or for you (answer: himself).
