THANK YOU CANADA!
Conservative Stephen Harper will be sworn in as Prime Minister within the next two or three weeks. This is one of those things you just can’t get to soon enough.
I hope you took my advice from some time ago and invested heavily in paper-shredder manufacturers. Do ya live in the Ottawa area? Watch that paper fly! They’ve only got another two or three weeks to get rid of a lot of paper, “sponsorshipped” by you the taxpayer. There will be even more paper generated soon, this time by RCMP investigators and federal auditors.
There’s a lot a government can do without requiring parliamentary votes, not the least of which is finding hidden money. And who’s going to vote against the Accountability Act?
But anyway, this is a time for great celebration in our country, and accordingly my conservative wife and I, who (newly appointed by Paul Martin) Senator Larry Campbell calls “barbarians” (conservatives are “barbarians” to him), have already had a couple glasses of fine champagne; and our new Canadian flag is raised in front of our house, as promised. I would challenge Larry Campbell to show me the flag in front of his house tonight.
