Thank God the core gay pride parade funding responsibilities of the government have been so quickly handed off to another member of our benevolent government. Phew.
Sure, the one who did have that responsibility, Diane Ablonczy, did exactly as was required of her, and doled out taxpayer money in accordance with the rules of the latest $100-million social engineering program, disguised as economic “stimulus”, that the Conservative government she works for established. Perhaps she erred only in thinking they meant sexual stimulation. But anyway, this is obviously good government in action, especially compared to Namibia.
After years of “progressives” running the show, it is now an obvious, incontrovertible norm that the government needs to take cash from me and you and then spend it on something better than our own families and our own investments and the things we value and the charities we support. As we know, they know better. They’re the government! Spending our money for us on what used to be citizen-driven events (which in the old days, during which Canada coincidentally became a great, free nation), is seen by liberals — and only liberals — as a core function of government, today. Obviously you were doing it all wrong. You’re stupid.
The government officials know better than us how to spend our money, particularly when it comes to “human rights”, “art”, “Canadian culture” (which they are determined to create for us because we’re too stupid and we might do it “wrong”), “sexual preference”, “entertainment”, and “news”.
Soon we’ll be corrected.
