Rory Leishman, a well-established Canadian columnist and academic, has had a column rejected by the editorial staff at London Free Press. Well naturally I immediately offered to post it here where it will be viewed by perhaps many more people now as a result.
This is partly what makes the internet and this web site so pernicious to liberals. Conservative thoughts get to leak out unchecked by liberals here, for once. And it’s why I snicker just a little when I press my ENTER key.
It was ostensibly because Mr. Leishman had not attended a theatrical play featuring nudity, which forms a minor part of the basis of his column, that the editors rejected it (you’ll see their explanation in his column). Personally, I think it was rejected because it espouses conservative views and rejects the encroaching liberalization of Canadian society today—he points to that as the cause of some of the degradation of our values and morals.
It’s an excellent read at only two minutes, and is now in our columnist section.
A Rising Tolerance for the Wrong
Please comment on the column itself there, not here.
