After my smiley-face-laced cry-baby blow-out yesterday, which has now been officially dubbed my “Howard Dean Moment”, a faithful member, MikeR, suggested I revise the code behind the discussion forum software and add “Howard Dean Moment” tags to the available formatting tags that posters can use when posting.
I thought that was a great idea. So I added a Howard Dean Moment tag. It looks like this: [HowardDean] ____ [/HowardDean] and is found in the toolbox when you post or reply in the forums, like this:
Its function is like… a Liberal! It does nothing! You just click it and it adds the tags, and you put your Howard Dean Moment inside the opening and closing tags.
Sample:
[HowardDean] The CBC gets one BILLION freaking dollars of freaking taxpayer cash per freaking year! How freaking ridiculous! YEEEEEAAAAAAA! [/HowardDean]
That will then afford you the code of ProudToBeCanadian.ca understanding amongst members in the know. The official response among us is: You’re going ballistic, it’s OK, we understand, it makes sense, who wouldn’t feel the same way…. etc, or something like that. Usage may vary. Use at own risk. Not valid in Quebec.
I think lots of people aside from me should use the new Howard Dean Moment tags.
