Canwest Global papers continue the liberal spin

In a story ostensibly about how nutbar leftist liberal Carolyn Parrish is being wooed back into the Liberal Party fold despite her typically bizarre remarks, they repeat their little history re-write; and make no mistake—this is something all liberals do whenever possible to ensure a shinier face pokes out of history when we look back at it.

Carolyn Parrish was booted out of the Liberal Party caucus for dissing leader Paul Martin and the Party in general.  In fact it happened almost immediately after she did that.

It did not happen after (weeks and months earlier) she said that Americans were “morons” and “idiots”.

And as I pointed out two days ago, the liberal media is sticking to their mendacious unregistered guns, writing things like they wrote (again), today in the Ottawa Citizen and elsewhere:

[…] Ms. Parrish, who was booted out of the Liberal caucus last year after she criticized the government of U.S. President George W. Bush as “bastards” and “idiots,” […]

The liberal-left is obviously not against one of their members denigrating the Americans because they are patently anti-American.  It’s part of their charm to liberal-left voters!

In any case, she’s sounding more and more like an extreme left-wing flake than ever before.  Her time on the backbenches, rather than being healing time, must have been spent stewing about the virtues of communism and being taken over by radical Muslim extremists and terrorists—rather than putting up a fuss and seeing Canadian soldiers being “brought back in body bags”.

Like most liberal-leftist fundamentalists, Parrish finds evil in all the wrong places (Bush: evil.  Bin Laden: freedom fighter), fixing her misdirected gaze on our good new chief of defence staff, Gen. Rick Hillier, who actually says all the right things about military and war and terrorists, like the fact that they should be killed, and the military is an outfit of folks cut out for just that job.

“Anne McLellan’s not helping,” added Ms. Parrish. “Every time I have the TV on there’s a comment from her (that) ‘we’re not safe, we could be next.’ What are we doing taunting people?”

Ms. Parrish made her comments as Prime Minister Paul Martin begins two days of business travel to Toronto, Timmins, Ont., and Winnipeg for his first public events in almost two weeks. Mr. Martin has spent most of his time at his Quebec farm since he returned from the G-8 summit in Scotland on July 8.

Ms. Parrish fired off a letter to Mr. Graham 10 days ago about her concerns in Afghanistan, and was particularly critical of Canada’s new chief of the defence staff, Gen. Rick Hillier, who she said should be “muzzled.” Speaking to reporters about the Canadian troop deployment to Kandahar, Gen. Hillier referred to terrorists as “murderers and scumbags” and made clear he believes the job of the Armed Forces is “to be able to kill people.”

In the letter to Mr. Graham, Ms. Parrish wrote: “I implore you to muzzle the beast, assume command of Canada’s agenda in your usual articulate, dignified and intelligent way. Let the Canadian public know Gen. Hillier does not speak for our government.”

I’d like to ensure that nobody ever thinks she speaks for my country and only, as she does, for the liberal-left radical fundamentalist element in this country.
