The Globe and Mail reports that the sentence (of no jail time!) of Liberal-friendly Paul Coffin will be appealed by the crown.
To keep things straight (because it’s nothing short of a scandal-a-palooza today for the Liberal Party), this scandal has to do with, well, the biggest scandal in the history of our country, the Liberal Party “Sponsorship” or “Adscam” scandal.
However, the Globe and Mail has—as has most mainstream media—decided to continue its effort to try to erase the “Liberal Party” from any connection with this corruption scandal by writing a nearly 300-word story without ever once typing the word “liberal” or even “Liberal”. It’s really quite a feat, and it’s becoming quite amusing to watch as they plod through this in this manner. This liberal media manipulation is but another scandal as I see it—of misinformation and the rewriting of history—taking place before our very eyes.
The Crown in Quebec has begun the process of appealing the conditional sentence handed down to Paul Coffin, the first person convicted for his part in the sponsorship scandal.
On Wednesday, the Crown served papers giving notice to Mr. Coffin’s defence lawyers that they were appealing the sentence. His fate will rest in the hands of the Quebec Court of Appeal.
Mr. Coffin will keep doing his university lectures for now, however.
