Charles Adler, well-known Canadian radio talk-show host (listed on our Listen Live list in the right border of this page), sent me an article which he wrote yesterday, about one of the RCMP members killed on March 3.
It is a very nice read and I highly recommend you spend the minute or two it takes to read it. And Thanks, Charles.
It’s posted in the columnist section under Guest Writers. Here’s a snippet:
FIRST things first. I have never met Don Schiemann in real life, I am not a Christian or a dad. But on this day I think of him as a brother.
As I write this Don Schiemann is less than three-hours away from the church service where he along with others will be talking about his young son in the past tense. Some of you who are reading have experienced the grief of burying your own son. Only you can feel that feeling. No matter how many people try to console you, only you have intimate knowledge of that singular anguish.
I watched Peter Schiemann’s father having a conversation with a TV host, and I asked myself: “Where does courage come from?”
