• 33,000,000 (33 million): population of Canada according to expert.
• 335,000 (335 thousand): number of live births in Canada yearly if my memory serves.
• 105,000 (105 thousand): number of Canadian abortions each and every year at taxpayer expense if my memory serves, and it does.
QUEBEC—The population of Canada will approach 33 million in the coming year, according to Statistics Canada, which began its 2006 census in Quebec on Thursday.
“I can’t give an opinion on the results of the next census but we certainly expect to number more than 32 million Canadians,” said Richard Barnabe, deputy chief statistician for Statistics Canada. Nearly 13.5 million homes will receive a census questionnaire the week of May 2. They have to be returned by May 16.
