CBC puts no label on extreme left-wing socialist Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives

The CBC warns Canadians whenever they’re reporting on or quoting from a “conservative” or “right-wing” organization.

Personally, I call anything that is conservative or right-wing “perfectly normal”, or “perfectly natural”.  Because that is the fact.  It’s why, for example, I grimace every time I hear the word “privatize”.  In nearly every case, the government secretariat or service in question was private to start with, and the progressives and socialists in various Liberal and you’ve got to be kidding party governments “nationalized” them (code word for governments taking over the means of production, as all socialists and full-on communists do).  “Privatize” simply means letting it go back to the way it was —the way it worked best to start with before the government meddled and messed it up and wasted countless millions or billions in taxpayer cash taking it over and “governmentizing” it.

At the socialism-reliant, state-owned CBC the perfectly normal Fraser Institute is constantly labeled as “right-wing”, “conservative”, or in some other way as “right-leaning” or some other cautionary term.  But the left-wing state-owned socialism-reliant CBC “news” media provides Canadians with no such warning labels for the likes of the far-left Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (where the “alternative” is full-on socialism).

Here are just a few examples of their descriptions of the Fraser Institute that I spotted today in a quick search:

The Fraser Institute simply stands for the norm in any free society, like free markets and private enterprise and all those things which built Canada from day one.  The warning label the CBC applies in nearly every news story is to be interpreted as a warning to Canadians to take what you’ve just read or about to read with a major grain of salt, because it is, after all, only the word of some right-wing crackpots —not leftist progressives and socialists like us.

In the case of the CCPA, the CBC either doesn’t label them at all, or it explicitly allows them to define themselves.  They do this by literally including these words after the name of the organization, “…which defines itself as…” (and the word they use to define themselves is “progressive”, which is strident at best, inasmuch as they are full-on socialists and worse).

I found one instance in which the CBC declared them as “left-leaning”. Left leaning? They are socialists. If socialism is “left leaning”, then I’m a “barely moderate center-right sort of progressive-conservative guy.”

And maybe that lone example was owing to the fact that somebody wrote to the state-owned CBC’s “Ombudsman” complaining about this years ago.

That was June 14, 2007.  He’s still thinking about it and “researching” it I guess.  Perhaps they should pay me the hundreds of thousands they’re paying him to be so totally useless, because I’ve got all the “research” they need, in spades.  But let’s be sporting and give him another three or four years to decide on it and “research” it.  Most of the examples I provided were from after that long thought process began.  I’m sure the self-esteemed “Ombudsman” will decide on this real soon.
