Whenever a politically “progressive” government speaks of taxing something in order to “help” you or “protect” you (usually from yourself), or they want to “invest” in something, check your wallet. That’s what they really want.
In the election of June 2009, Nova Scotians elected 31 New Democrats, 11 Liberals and 10 Progressive Conservatives. So their choice was all progressive. How dismal.
And here’s what you get when you elect know-it-all socialists who engage in social engineering and life engineering and central planning by way of control over their Orwellian, big brother or nanny-state progressive government: extra taxes on certain foods, to be determined by government bureaucrats. Who know better than you what you should eat.
