Is this an idea from the Iranian team? Or the Canadian team?
Olympic Committee pitches Sport TV
In an effort to overcome chronic under-funding for athletes, the Canadian Olympic Committee is proposing an amateur sports channel that “would provide much-needed exposure and funding for both Olympic and non-Olympic sports.”
The COC is asking the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission not only to give the go-ahead for channels in both French and English, but also to make it mandatory for them to be distributed “on the basic digital service” of all cable and satellite distributors…
You MUST get this channel, and you MUST pay for it. The government will FORCE this upon you. They will do this through their Iranian-style vehicle, the liberals’ CRTC—the regulator of what we’re allowed to watch on TV and listen to on the radio, and in what proportion of “Canadian” and “not Canadian”, and at what time, according to their exquisite genius as state planners and designers of our what official culture is or will be and what we WILL like, NOW.
Just like the state-owned, state-run CBC.
In case you’d like to let them know what you think of their new fascist sport, here’s a list of addresses for the Canadian Olympic Committee—note that they don’t have an official office in Iran as yet; and they don’t have any email addresses—just like in Iran. (I did find this address which includes an email address, on a COC media release: Steve Keogh, Manager, Communications, Canadian Olympic Committee, Phone: (416) 324-4146, Cell: (416) 806-3949, Email: [email protected])

Here’s the address for the state-regulator, the CRTC:
Actually it’s not an address. Trying to email these people is like an Iranian-style sport. I imagine this is exactly what it’s like to reach a government department in any communist or fascist country. It’s absolutely hilarious. Go to this page and try to send them an email. If you are able to, please advise me with instructions. I broke out into laughter just trying. http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/contactus.htm
