The liberal-left in Canada isn’t sure if they’re more distressed about Pat O’Brien leaving the Liberals Party this morning over his revelations about the Liberals’ horrible handling of the gay marriage issue, or this poll which shows that Canadians are pretty darn religious people.
64 percent say religion is important in their lives.
80 percent identified themselves with a specific religion.
You’d think that must give the liberal-left pause. You’d think.
This closely matches the latest Canadian Census, which also showed that Canadians voluntarily identified themselves as religious people by and large.
An Associated Press/IPSOS poll was released today, measuring religious attitudes in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
