Liberals so completely misunderstand racism, racists, and the whole race issue at large. Take Obama. No really. Take him to Iran.
It’s called “Dreams From My Father, Lame Excuses From My Grandfather”, and it begins:
Since a Chinese graduate student at Columbia University, Minghui Yu, was killed last Friday when black youths violently set upon him, sending him running into traffic to escape, I think B. Hussein Obama ought to start referring to the mind-set of the “typical Asian person.”
As of Wednesday, police had no motive for the attack, and witnesses said they heard no demand for money or anything else. The Associated Press reports that the assailant simply said to his friend, “Watch what I do to this guy” before punching Yu.
Meanwhile, let’s revisit the story about Obama’s grandmother being guilty of thinking like a “typical white person.” …
As always, don’t forget to read Barbara Kay’s excellent column. Her latest, “Turning self-hatred into a state creed”, is on the liberals’ sacred multiculturalism program, which she rightly claims is among Canada’s worst mistakes.
I love this part:
… Multiculturalism is idealistic in theory, but its real effect has been the entrenchment in our intellectual and cultural elites of an unhealthy obsession with a largely phantom racism amongst heritage Canadians that no amount of penance or cultural self-effacement can ever transcend.
In its ideological insistence on the equal value of all cultures other than ours (ours being the sole inferior one), multiculturalism’s main “accomplishment” has been to instill self-loathing in heritage Canadians, a sense of responsibility-free entitlement in identity groups and the suffocation of critical diversity in the public form. …
Pure brilliance.
