As always, Fox News Channel wins the ratings game hands down in the U.S., largely because it’s by far the best cable news channel available there—and here. Oh yes don’t forget it’s available here in Canada. You really need to get it. It’s completely different than anything you see here. It’s actually enjoyable and educational to watch. Unlike watching the state-run media here in Canada in which you actually get dumber with each passing minute that you watch it, you actually learn things and are given the chance to decide the way you see the issues after they report the facts from two or three angles, left and right.
They allow conservatives to say things without rolling their eyes, sneering, or sounding utterly disgusted. Seriously! They sometimes do stories without getting a leftist or Marxist university professor’s angle on it. They say “merry Christmas” and they let Ann Coulter be a guest on their various top-rated talk shows. It’s really quite astonishing.
Just call your cable or satellite provider and get the best news channel available—you’ll learn new things, and you’ll find out there is actually a different perspective aside from, you know, “liberal”, or “progressive”, or “socialist” or “Marxist”. No really it’s true.
Why is it by far the ratings leader—far exceeding the sinking viewership of liberal CNN and the other news channels? People might like it because they present both sides of the issues (unheard of in Canada where we get the left side, and the far left side), or because FNC is pro-American and wants America and the west to win the war on terror. You see right there is a big difference: Canada’s state-run CBC has been known to call the war on terror the “so-called war on terror”, which I believe they do because the President is a Republican, he’s not a socialist, he’s a Christian, and that ain’t liberal. They’re also anti-American at the state-run media it seems to me, and they’d just as soon see America lose the war. But at least they support our troops—when they come home in caskets.

While we’re at it, here a quick snapshot of the top ten programs CANADIANS are watching these days on the basic cable channels. As always, the shows are American, and the state-run CBC has no shows that they created that figure into the top-10, top-20, or even top-30 shows, except of course for the NHL hockey playoffs. Good thing it only costs a BILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR to fund the state-run media so we can have some hockey games on the TV.
