With the help of some tech gurus from Missouri (that’s America!), I’ve resolved the repeated site outage problem we’ve been having here today, I think.
At first I blamed it on a huge surge in traffic but no, that wasn’t it.
It has to do with a snag at BlogRolling.com, which BloggingTories relies upon to serve the list of BloggingTories.
So if other bloggers are having similar problems, it just might be worth trying to disable the BloggingTories code for now, and see if that clears it up.
In my case it caused too many MySQL connections to remain open at once, exceeding the limits set. Some sites will have that problem, I think, and others will just not get their list. Or I could be wrong.
