Here was my original headline: “Dem Senate “leader” Reid: Republicans & others against their state-run ‘healthcare’… are ‘RACISTS’”
Actually, he merely compared Republicans to those who fought against the end to slavery back in the day. It was in fact Democrats, largely, and the KKK which took seed in the Democratic Party, who fought against the end to slavery. Not Republicans, who fought to end slavery and succeeded under Republican President Abraham Lincoln. But then most people with half a brain know that, and those people apparently aren’t Harry Reid’s core constituency and voter base.
So aside from attempting to once again rewrite history, Reid is a fatuous ass.
On matters of race and racism, the only thing worse than being a racist is a lying history revisionist, breaths away from the presidency, calling his opponents “racists”, solely on the basis that they disagree with his political plans. It’s a technique fascists use. Harry Reid should be impeached.
