It’s hard to pick out comments from our various blog entries and columnists’ columns to “feature” here as part of my “Wisdom form the roots” series of blog entries, because while there are so few comments, most of them are good ones. (We take—and I make—trivial comments too! Intimidation or feeling intimidated is against our rules!)
Our columnist Barbara Kay’s latest column, Welcome to the matriarchy, is producing more comments than usual, I’m pleased to see.

Take a look at the perpetrators of violence (involving a gun) in Toronto for the last few years. Most of these males of Jamaican origin have something in common. Nope….don’t let their black skin distract you. It’s not that. They don’t have fathers.
In Jamaica when the police show up at a domestic dispute (where the man is beating the woman) There are two outcomes.
1) If the couple is married then the husband is sorting out family matters. No charges are laid.
2) If the couple is unmarried it’s considered assault and battery. Charges are laid.If I were a black woman I wouldn’t look forward to being slapped around either. Marriage is not being encouraged.
Fast forward to present day Toronto where Jamaican woman don’t have husbands or abortions. Don’t be distracted by the socialist, that they don’t have money either. Health care, education and welfare are provided by the state. The kids DON’T HAVE FATHERS. Girls need a father and boys need a father.Oh oh, there might be a leftist out there wondering how to raise taxes so a “state approved spouse” can be the “right of every family”.
With the trend around the world of aborting females, we shall soon find out that woman are also valuable. More precious than water.
