I finished writing about it at about 8:00 this morning. But at 10:00, Dion was asked about the terrorist being convicted this morning —a huge story of extreme, national importance for our nation and our security.
Reporter: There’s a guilty verdict in the trial of the ‘Toronto 18’ today, can I get your reaction to this first major verdict under the anti-terrorism laws?
Liberal leader Stephane Dion: Err … uh I don’t… [looking totally baffled]
Reporter: The Toronto 18?!
Liberal leader Stephane Dion: Mmm hmmm? [looking just totally baffled]
Reporter: There’s a guilty verdict today out of Toronto?! And so I’m trying to get a….
Liberal leader Stephane Dion: Uh I will not comment… I was not aware of this pacifical—this specific verdict . … sorry
But at least he’s all filled-in and “clear” on the more important “Canadian Value” of … abortion.
