So let’s try again! Am I right, liberals?
One more time with meaning, Martha! See, according to the New York Times’ left-wing columnist Paul Krugman and the CBC’s almost exactly like-minded columnist today, the problem with the economy and (I’m stretching it up a bit here) presumably EVERYTHING —is simply that the government isn’t spending enough money on it. That’s why history keeps repeating itself like this. If government-controlled programs are failing (be they TV programs or social programs), spend more! A lack of government spending —well there’s yer problem right there, Martha!
That should zip-up all you sensible conservatives like me, who browbeat the left over how spending countless hundreds of BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars imposing a “Canadian Culture” by government decree, and by social engineering, and draconian rules and laws and regulations to stymie competition and protect your own government-created media and quash the desire of an otherwise free people to do — and watch, in this case — what they damn well want, keeps failing in mammoth, historic proportions.
Actually once again you’re wrong. It won’t zip me up at all. See, I’m not the very definition of insanity.
Once again, the state-owned, socialism-reliant, taxpayer-funded CBC fails to make even the top TWENTY television shows in Canada, in the latest ratings results report. This is a constant problem over the dozens of times I’ve presented a chart like this, over many years. I believe we call this “scientific proof”, liberals. Nothing to do with God (at least that’s the story I’m going with).

And yet the liberals, the left, all progressives generally —all support more of the same, only with INCREASED government spending. INCREASED funding for the CBC. More of exactly the same.
But don’t worry, the left are not called “idiots” or “stupid” or “extreme” (or “racists”!) when the left does and says these things. Those terms are reserved for conservatives who sense that there has been a massive and systemic government and left-wing ideological failure of epic proportions, and we might want to consider trying something else.
State-owned and state-run media should be banned in this country, and that notion enshrined in our constitution. And foisting a “Canadian Culture” by government decree and by the social engineering of left wing government know-it-all knobs, should be laughed out of our consciousness — and out of our government, the bureaucracy, and media, and academia, and everywhere else it exists.
