Toronto stocks in record territory; liberal media asleep

UPDATED—see below

They’re all about the temperatures in, well, anywhere, breaking records set 130 years ago, every day, all day long, with huge headlines.  But they don’t care about the stock market records any more.  Interesting.

After denying (or even lying about) the fantastic U.S. economy and its record-breaking stock market of late, which has amazingly been on a rip-roaring historic tear even in spite of what thinking people would expect would be the Islamists’ economy-ruining terrorist attacks on the United States and the resulting global war on terror, the liberal media in Canada is now denying the existence of the Canadian record-breaking stock market, today.

This rip-roaring economy is thanks largely to George Bush’s tax cuts which have resulted in rising tax revenues for the government, which explains why the liberal media has been ignoring it and in fact lying about it—pretending instead that the U.S. economy is languishing—but there’s no explaining the ignorance of Canada’s current stock market, except perhaps that there’s a “conservative” government in power now.

The Toronto Stock Exchange, which mostly tags along with the U.S. market, is toying with a record-breaking close today, the current record close having been set last month (13,404.46), to practically no notice in the liberal media.  (There is nothing in the liberal media about it right now, although it’s at 13,435.70 as I write this blog entry, with an hour to closing).

I expect they’ll start talking about it non-stop if or when the market starts falling.  Let’s watch for that.

UPDATE:  13,448.31.  New record.  Go to the Globe and Mail.com.  Front page:
