Hi Joel,

I was looking up a word in my iMac’s Dictionary program when I read this description of the word Fascism.  Note the prevalent use of the phrase “right wing”.  Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t Germany under control of the National Socialist German Workers Party?  Just sayin’.

George you’re absolutely right.  This is an outright lie.  And moreover, a supremely good example of the meme of total deceit that has taken hold thanks to the repeated — and accepted — lies of the Left, who are now so emboldened that they, as I keep saying, speak as though everyone in the room agrees with them.

Fascism, as we know it in Germany and Italy (to use their own examples), were precisely governments of far-left socialists and “progressives” (as they became known in the U.S. under Woodrow Wilson and F.D.R.).  Hitler was of course a hard socialist.  Mussolini was born to communist parents and he was a socialist.  There was nothing whatsoever that was “right-wing” or remotely “conservative” about them in any way, shape, or form.  Period.

The Left, as they often have, redefined the word in their effort to distance themselves from sole ownership of it.  They own it. They are misleading you.  You should write to the iMac dictionary editors and blast them for this lie.

Read the book “Liberal Fascism” by Jonah Goldberg.  It’s not an easy read, but it explains very well the true face of fascism, and how the left has methodically transformed it into exactly the lie you see in that dictionary.  Knowledge and facts:  the perfect antidote to the kind of liberal-left deception you see here, and all over the place.

Thanks for sending that George.

Just a Clarification: The dictionary used is The New Oxford American
Dictionary not one Written up By Apple (Though I doubt it would be
much different)
Here are some screen captures for your edification …

Hi there,

Thanks.  I was quite sure Steve Jobs’ tribe of hippies didn’t sit around
creating a dictionary, since it wouldn’t include 99.9% of the words that
didn’t start with the small letter i.  But good to know which dictionary
was the one they licensed-up with.
