My name is Joel Johannesen, and I am a “manifestation of Satan”.

So says the angelic Iranian leader.  But I disagree, actually, as I explain below.

Ahmadinejad in Sudan: ‘Zionists are the true manifestation of Satan’

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in Sudan late Wednesday that “Zionists are the true manifestation of Satan,” state-run IRNA news agency reported.

[You gotta love state-run news agencies, which all seem to agree with this very thesis, am I right CBC?]

“The Zionists are the true manifestation of Satan,” Ahmadinejad said during the state visit, speaking to a meeting of Sudanese Islamic scholars in the capital Khartoum.

Both Sudan and Iran are accused internationally of supporting radical Islamic movements.

Actually, I disagree with the Iranian, although I’m sure many liberals totally agree with him.

And it reminds me of my oft-repeated Coulterism, in which it is held that if you hold up photos of the Iranian leader, Usama bin Laden, and President George Bush, and ask a liberal to point to the evil one, they’ll invariably point to President Bush, in an exemplary display of their moral relativist absurdity and abject intellectual dishonesty.

The other thing it reminds me of is a passage from the prologue of Mark Steyn’s brilliant book “America Alone”, in which he writes:

You may recall a pertinent detail during the bogus controversy over the “torture” of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay:  U.S. guards at Gitmo are under instruction to handle copies of the Koran only when wearing gloves.  The reason for this is that the detainees regard infidels as “unclean”.  But it’s one thing for the Islamists to think infidels are unclean, quite another for the infidels to agree with them—and, by so doing, to validate their bigotry.

So I hereby invalidate that nutbar’s proclamation by disagreeing, with vigour, and reminding readers —particularly liberals—that he and his ilk should be stopped in their tracks with global condemnation —and huge bombs if necessary, rather than by tacitly agreeing with him, as so many are wont to do for reasons of unprincipled liberal-leftist political expediency.  Am I right, CBC?
