It was only a matter of time before a liberal invoked space aliens and UFOs to go with their equally taut theories on “man-made global warming”. You do know that many scientists believe in UFOs, don’t you?
UFO science key to halting climate change: former Canadian defense minister
OTTAWA (AFP) – A former [Liberal] Canadian defense minister is demanding governments worldwide disclose and use secret alien technologies obtained in alleged UFO crashes to stem climate change, a local paper said Wednesday.
“I would like to see what (alien) technology there might be that could eliminate the burning of fossil fuels within a generation … that could be a way to save our planet,” Paul Hellyer, 83, told the Ottawa Citizen.
Alien spacecrafts would have traveled vast distances to reach Earth, and so must be equipped with advanced propulsion systems or used exceptional fuels, he told the newspaper.
[…]“We need to persuade governments to come clean on what they know. Some of us suspect they know quite a lot, and it might be enough to save our planet if applied quickly enough,” he said.
He was the Liberal defence minister in 1963 for Liberal Prime Minister Lester Pearson. In 2005, he admitted he had seen a UFO and believed in space aliens.
In 1968 he ran for Liberal Party leadership and came in second to Pierre Trudeau on the first ballot. Pierre Trudeau later became a space alien. Hellyer ran for every party and even formed his own party which he tried to merge with the NDP in 2000, proving he wasn’t to be taken seriously by anyone from that moment onward.
