Most Americans say media is over-hyping “global warming”, and they’re right

Rasmussen Reports says their latest survey is “bad news for the media” —and actually they’re right but in fact, it’s manifestly worse news for all citizens generally when the mainstream liberal media they rely on is actually surreptitiously driving a left-wing political agenda, because of course you can’t trust a news media that is surreptitiously driving a political, economic, or social agenda (as they are), under the pretense of being objective, fair and balanced, and honest reporters of fact.  The good news is that in spite of the liberal media’s agenda-driving and messaging, Americans see through at least some of it.

Moreover, note that the Americans in this survey can easily get Fox News Channel, unlike in Canada, and have great talk radio shows like Rush Limbaugh’s and Sean Hannity’s, and Glenn Beck’s on their AM dials, so Americans actually get the other (right) side of issues.  Therefore they’re more informed.

And also importantly, they don’t get the CBC, which if they did, would bump the numbers up considerably.  In other words, here in Canada, I imagine most people think the media are under-hyping the “climate change”, despite the fact that the media are actually driving the “man-made global warming” freak-out train, and are full-on apologists for the Al Gore far-left useful idiotology; sadly proving that Canadians are, on this topic, uninformed, misinformed, and blithely ignorant of facts and perspective.

54% Say Media Hype Global Warming Dangers

More bad news for the media.

Fifty-four percent (54%) of U.S. voters say the news media make global warming appear worse than it really is. Only 21% say the media present an accurate picture, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. … Republicans are more critical than Democrats.  Seventy-nine percent (79%) of GOP voters say the media paints a darker picture of global warming that the reality merits, and 63% of voters not affiliated with either party agree. Democrats, however, are much more closely divided: 27% say the media make it look worse than it is, 22% better, and 34% say they present an accurate picture.
