Liberals: if not this, then what, exactly, is “dangerous”? I mean besides Christians and their stupid “values”, silly!
Not only do many members of the liberals’ law courts division and the liberals’ defence lawyer club believe the liberal-left’s sacred mantra that society and lack of liberal government universal social programs are to blame for criminal and anti-social behavior, but also (and this is important) that punishment is wrong under all circumstances—nobody should be punished; that “reintegration” back into society (under a universal government social program) is more important than, well, almost anything; and that criminals are really not dangerous even when they are proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are in fact dangerous.
Sex-offender’s risk to re-offend manageable, defence argues
EDMONTON – Notorious sex offender Steve Ewanchuk may be a high risk to re-offend, but the Crown has not proved beyond a reasonable doubt he will if released under a supervision order, his lawyer argued Tuesday.
Ewanchuk ‘’is a high risk, but that risk can be managed,’’ defence counsel Chris Millsap told Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Sterling Sanderman.
Ewanchuk, 57, has been in the Edmonton Remand Centre since he was convicted in November 2005 of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl. Because of his long record for sexual offences, the Crown received consent from the provincial justice minister to seek dangerous offender status.
