Liberals refuse to give themselves up

I see where Liberals refuse once again to resign their positions of power even in the face of more criminal investigations.  It’s like watching an episode of Gunsmoke in which there’s smoking guns every which way (people literally coughing from all the smoke), and yet the bandits (in this case the socially, ethically, and politically corrupt liberals) refuse to come out from behind their luxurious stage coaches, put up their hands, and come out.

Pettigrew, Martin, Goodale, and Cotler.

Invest in shreddersUsing this Liberal Party arrogance and stubbornness as a policy moving forward, in case the Conservatives win the election, I can as a former stockbroker offer you all a free, hot, investment tip.  And I can do this regardless of any nuisance criminal investigations by a national police force headed-up by a Liberal-appointed commissioner who reports directly to the Liberal Party cabinet.  Here it is:  invest heavily in paper-shredder manufacturers.  If the Liberals end up winning, I’d recommend a “hold” until the next election.

I thought I’d highlight this blog comment made by Anthony Oluwatoyin and give it slightly better placement:

Re: Ralph Goodale: Presumed innocent does not mean innocent.

Federal Finance Minister Ralph Goodale’s refusal to step down while his department is being probed by the RCMP confuses presumed innocence with innocence.

The RCMP statement that it is not making personal allegations of Goodale, does not exonerate him. No evidence has been collected. Yet.

Presumably that is exactly what the investigation is for. How ironic that Goodale, whose ministry is under suspicion of insider trading involving income trusts, is speaking as if he has advance information that no wrongdoing will be proven.

It is even stranger that a finance minister would dumb down the alphabet of accountability. Goodale is saying that no one has been convicted of anything. But the fact is presumption of innocence removes suspects from pure innocence, so much so that they can even be held without bail. Only Liberal arrogance can explain the failure to grasp the difference.

On liberal-friendly CNN today from the United States, they report about the latest Liberal Party government-related corruption:

Canada leaders’ ethics challenged again
Inquiry into possible leak gives campaign boost to opposition

OTTAWA, Ontario (Reuters)—A police inquiry into the possible leak of news about Canadian tax changes has given opposition parties new ammunition in the election campaign, renewing attention on the ethics of the Liberal government.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said on Wednesday they had launched an investigation into whether the government or its officials improperly leaked news about Finance Minister Ralph Goodale’s decision last month to cut dividend taxes and not tax income trusts.

The prices of many trusts and high-dividend stocks rose before the news came out, prompting talk that some investors had been given an inside tip.

It is the second big ethical issue facing the Liberals, who have been under attack for months after an official inquiry concluded that party members received cash kickbacks from firms that won lucrative government advertising contracts in Quebec.

“There is no upside in this (for the Liberals). There is potentially only downside,” said University of Toronto political scientist Nelson Wiseman. […]

They say it’s the “second big ethical issue” for the Liberals.  I guess the recent announcement of new liberal-left designated “Canadian values” such as that wonderful and “socially progressive” wife-swapping and group sex Canadian value announcement by the Liberal-appointed Supreme Court Activist Judgement, Magical Constitutional Rights Seers, and Leftist Policy division of the Liberal Party; as well as their changing of the definition of “Canadian family” and “marriage”; and that fabulous North Korean-style healthcare system in which people wait in pain for months or years (and maybe even give up or die) before getting treatment —those aren’t “big ethical issues”.  Liberals are funny with their definitions and words!

Stephen Harper playing Marshall HarperConservative Party leader Stephen Harper had this to say in the CNN story:

“It’s all part of the pattern,” Harper told a news conference in Vancouver. “This is a story of scandal and corruption, investigations, refusals to take responsibility. If this government continues in office, this will continue.”

[…] “What’s important is that (Goodale) and his group be thrown out of office and be held accountable for this ongoing pattern of scandal and corruption,” Harper said.

However Liberal Finance Minister Ralph Goodale has decided that it’s in Canada’s best interest that he stay right where he is—and refuses to resign.  I do believe it’s another “Canadian value”!  This is the one where Liberals and the liberal-left rule this country as a one-party socialist state… they just haven’t actually made it official yet.

Stay tuned for the next episode.
