Is this allowed? Using state-owned equipment and staff for an overtly political campaign backdrop.

BC Hydro is a 100% state-owned “business.” A 100% crown corporation. BC’s NDP premier John Horgan and Liberal Justin Trudeau are standing in front of an obviously staged BC Hydro truck, and what we have to see as a BC Hydro employee. Is BC Hydro a partisan “business” now? Do crown corporations work for the NDP and the Liberal Party of Canada now, on the public dime? It sure does look like it.

Seems wrong to me. Seems a violation of election rules, or should be, to say nothing of poor ethics. I would also love to know BC Hydro’s official rules on this sort of thing, assuming they have some.
