Harper, Duceppe call for quick election
Conservative Leader Stephen Harper says Liberal corruption exposed in the Gomery report can only be cleaned up by bringing down the government with a united opposition — and that the ball is in NDP Leader Jack Layton’s court.
[…] Harper questioned how Layton could continue to deal with a government he considered to be corrupt.
“I just don’t understand where Jack is coming from. I don’t see how you say ‘We’ve got a government that’s corrupt but, you know, maybe we can get better health care. I don’t follow the logic.”
