Guardian’s Charlie Brooker seems to advocate assassination of Bush

It’s hard to imagine a more vulgar approach to politics than the one the uber-liberal-left Guardian in the U.K. has chosen.

First they tried to get a letter-writing campaign going, urging their readers to write letters to voters in Ohio and pleading with them to vote for John Kerry.  That plan totally backfired against them, so now this: In a commentary by a writer named Charlie Brooker on Saturday, he wrote:

“Quite frankly, the man’s either wired or mad. If it’s the former, he should be flung out of office: tarred, feathered and kicked in the nuts. “

Then this closing remark:

On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod’s law dictates he’ll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr – where are you now that we need you?

Some gems on the liberal-left sure seem to be quite the intellectuals don’t they?  Making heroes of assassins.  Beautiful.  Sounds like Yasser Arafat, Saddam Hussein, and Osama bin Laden talking.  And you know what?  I wouldn’t put it past them.
