Our aging population, combined with Ottawa’s historically high pre-COVID spending, is spelling trouble for Canada’s economic future.
A new Fraser Institute study out today shows that the federal government will not balance its budget over the next 30 years – and that’s based on conservative assumptions!
That date may also be increased further based on new spending announced in the Throne Speech, happening later this week.
This means we’re on track to accumulate federal debt at a level higher than existed in the early 1990s when the country faced a near debt and currency crisis.
And again – this is before any potential new spending announced in the Throne Speech.
Check out this troubling new study here, and be sure to share it far and wide!
