Online poll in the liberals’ Globe and Mail this morning, possibly in light of the massive strike of civic workers in Toronto:
Should garbage collection be outsourced to private businesses?

Here’s my question: Why shouldn’t just about everything be “outsourced” to private businesses? (And I love that word “outsourced” — as if it wasn’t all private enterprise to start with, and government didn’t simply take it over from private business thus socializing it).
Or, conversely, what’s the argument from the big, nanny-state-government liberal-leftists, for the government to not take over everything from private enterprise, starting right from the most fundamental: the food supply (production, harvest, distribution, retail sales —all with government-owned equipment and state-employed workers…); as well as the supply of all homes including the building of them, the allocation of them amongst the population, and of course the state ownership of them, the upkeep, etc; and clothing; and everything else from our personal and families’ health care, right down to our news media and entertainment (oh yeah… they’re already onto some of those things).
