BC’s only you’ve got to be kidding party leadership contender gets endorsement from stoner

Must refrain…. from starting blog…. entry with….. “holy smokes”.…. Can’t do it.  Holy smokes.

Ahh.  The you’ve got to be kidding party.  I keep calling them that but some people still don’t realize I actually have good reasons to call the “NDP” (a happy-face pseudonym for the radically left-wing socialist party which is owned by unions) that. You have GOT to be kidding.  And yet they’re not.  And the media, which is the only thing that really props them up and gives them their legitimacy (for lack of a better word) keep treating these radical socialists as if they are to be taken seriously and given a chance to govern.

The only officially declared candidate for leadership of the BC you’ve got to be kidding party (see here for my earlier post about some of the idiocy already surrounding this political partay) is one of the founders of the Marijuana Party.  Dana Larsen is really little more than a pot-smoking, uh, well I guess the media will eventually dub him a genius!  For now they respectfully describe him only as “a marijuana activist”.  Again, that’s “a marijuana activist.”

Sarah Palin they bash and makes caustic, callous, serious “jokes” about, and actually treat her in their “serious news” journals like she’s a joke.  The National Post calls her “an idiot”.  But a pot-smoking advocate they treat with respect and good-natured niggling.

The closest they’ve come, recently, to even remotely laughing or joking regarding the NDP is when someone whom you can’t help but laugh at, because he’s truly an idiot, gets involved.  When the legendary stoner-in-chief and fellow pot advocate Tommy Chong (of Cheech and Chong “fame”) officially “endorsed” Dana Larsen today, The Province newspaper played up the story in the most predictable way imaginable, with the headline: “Tommy Chong offers high praise to NDP hopeful”.  “High praise”.  Geddit?  Oh the laughter when you’re writing for those who enjoy the high they get on pot or crack or whatever, and you’re writing about the future of our country and our children and families and so on.

Tommy Chong offers high praise to NDP hopeful

… Larsen was the co-founder of the B.C. Marijuana Party and ran federally for the NDP in the West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast riding.

In 2008, he stepped down from the campaign, after videos of him smoking pot and taking LSD surfaced on the Internet.

Larsen said Tuesday that if he became B.C. premier, he would legalize pot. …

A pro-life candidate would be smoked by the media, but a pot-head gets but a good-natured poking and the fullest respect of the media.

Too bad it’s serious business.  Too bad this is really the depths to which the you’ve got to be kidding party, which is poised to place or win in the next BC election, has sunk.  No, it’s not really a “high” point at all, for the you’ve got to be kidding party and all those unions whose suckered members have been forced to financially support what has become little more than a mockery of politics —socialist politics, yet.  It’s actually not a high point but a very low point for them all.
