Bad news/explanation about Martin: diet may be destroying his ability to think straight

Already challenged in oh so many ways, Liberal Prime Minister Paul (“we lead the world”) Martin is also fat-butt challenged.  Apparently he’s on the “South Beach Diet”.  That’s American, dontcha know.  Why go on an American diet?  Because due to insufficient government funding, we lack the technology in this country.

But here’s the real rub:

“Cutting carbohydrates means he’s also cutting his cognitive functions,” said Beth Mansfield, a registered dietician and fitness specialist with Peak Performance of Ottawa.

That can’t help a man like the prime minister think straight.”

Oh. My. God.  This is not good news. This is not desirous

.  Surely there’s some sort of a government program that can come to his aid.  COTLER!  DOSANJH!

But there’s more:  the possibility of another scandal.  A diet scandal.  Dietgate.  Or Assgate.  Your choice.

Mansfield also asked why Martin turned to a commercial diet program when his own government offers a taxpayer-funded solution?

“Why is he going on this huge diet thing?

Why not follow Canada’s food guide, and show people that they should be doing the same thing to stay healthy.

“He’s a figurehead and should be providing an example to Canadians.

Does Layton know about this?

I put forward this motion:  That we immediately instigate another inquiry:  the Mansfield Inquiry.  Get to the bottom of this fat-ass caper.

Then it’s Beth Mansfield for Prime Minister!  No I’m serious.  She obviously thinks straight.

More info: Apparently, for the first 14 days of the South Beach program, bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, and baked goods are completely off limits. So is fruit.  And yet the push for gay ‘marriage’ goes on.  Promise made… promise broken.

And apparently, he doesn’t even really need to go on some damned evil American private enterprise capitalist diet—Mansfield says that instead of dieting, the prime minister could walk more – maybe even use a pedometer to measure how many steps he takes.

This is extremely sound advice.  “Take a walk”, if you will.

Read the whole story.  We can all learn from this.  (Hat tip: MikeR)
