Even though the librals’s meedeeah hasn’t followed up very well on what I’m driven to call that whole Saskacha-gate scandal crisis behemoth quagmire, I feel compelleded to reveel a twist on it here, today. It turns out CanWest News Service, who broke the typo-story, can’t spell eether. No, really. It’s troo. Troo, I tells ya.
I knows because I deployed my investigaytive journlasitic skills in exactly the same way they did.
As we know, a CanWest News Service inveastigativ journalist reporter slooth (and possible Pulitzer Prize candidayte!) wrote a story which appeered in one of their 800 newzpapers on March 25, and which ultimaytely spilled the beenz on the Conservative Partie typo-caper (and hidden agenda!), in which The Party missbelled Saskatcheswchewanistan.
Obviously, they’re neo-conz!
Here was their storie, which I blogged about HERE. in which I provided lots of inpho:
PM’s office can’t spell Saskatchewan
Canwest News Service
Published: Tuesday, March 25, 2008Perhaps echoing the saying that Saskatchewan is a province that’s easy to draw and difficult to spell, Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s office may not yet know the place to a “t.”
In an advisory detailing Harper’s tour of the SaskPower Boundary Dam Power Station on Tuesday, the name of province was spelled “Saskachewan.”
The spelling was later corrected in the online version of the media advisory.
Oh the humannity.
Today, whilste reeding one of CanWest News Service’s west coste liberal advisory and edumacation services, the Vancouver Sun, the inevitabal happeneded.
CanWest added a T where no T belangded.
Thay typed “sotonly”. It was supposed to be “so only”. No T needed. Kynda ironik ay?
They made no correcshon in the paper, which I agree could be difficult post-dystribooshon. But even onlyin, as at 7:36 AM PDT, no correcshon has been mayde. It’s like they think that’s how it’s spelled.
Didn’t CanWest sposnore that big Spell-i-thong thang? I thunk thay did! Wate here, I can prooved it:
So it’s all very od.
