Media spends day propping up the you’ve got to be kidding party

image The liberal-left media continues its effort today to prop up Layton’s farce, the you’ve got to be kidding party.  The liberal-left media’s de facto  sponsorship of this party is the only way in which these people can stay alive as a party.  And we all know it.  The media is pulling a fast one on us, and we all just suck it up.  We are Canadian.  Rah.

Coverage of Layton’s massive nothingness today is in newspaper stories all across the country.  Today, Layton’s you’ve got to be kidding party held a big “news” conference in which he said nothing.  Well, he said socialist things about his meeting with other socialists from across Canada (although it could be credibly argued that BC’s NDP has by-passed “socialism” entirely and has “progressed” right to overt Soviet-style communism).  Saying nothing would have been better for the nation.

The media was all over the “news” in which there was absolutely no news but rather just jejune, far-left-wing talking points. CTV Newsnet actually broke into its excruciatingly boring news cycle to carry Layton’s “news” conference live.  The state-run CBC began its “Politics” program with coverage of the nothingness (it was nothing short of an NDP ad); and CTV’s Mike Duffy Live had it as its second “news” topic.

To the liberal-leftist agenda-pushing Canadian media, this helps balance out the relatively right-wing things that the left-wing Liberal war generals Dion and Ignatieff said over the weekend, like their plan to stay in Afghanistan after 2009 to serve tea and buns to mullahs.  The NDP of course wants Canada to surrender to bin Laden today — and not wait until 2009.

So anyway, Layton stood in front of a cabal of reporters today, selling his class-warfare message to Canadians via the appeasing, fawning, enabling liberal-left media.

First reporter starts the charade by asking “Jack” a question.  Yes, he prefaced his question by calling him “Jack”.  Sounds like they’re buddies.  A couple of questions in, a reporter asks (seriously!): how the party plans to sell his message to Canadians.

Ah… Good times… to be a leftist.

Here’s just some of the media’s life-supporting you’ve got to be kidding party coverage today:
