The good Canadian Coalition for Democracies is running full-page ads in a few papers today, praising Prime Minister Harper’s pro-Canada and pro-democracy and pro-peace-building sanity, and promoting further right-thinking foreign policy plans for our country.
It begins like this:
Last month, Prime Minister Stephen Harper spoke before the United Nations General Assembly and delivered a dose of realism and integrity that has long been absent from Canadian foreign policy. Dare we dream that, the next time Canada takes the podium at the UN, we will hear something like this? […]
It will appear in the Globe and Mail, Montreal Gazette, Calgary Herald, and French-language media tomorrow.
