One of my favorite sites, the Media Research Center, has another goodie on their hands. I hope it turns into an ongoing saga. They’re reporting once again about a rogue weatherman named Dave Price, who is working for a big liberal network show.
The CBS (that’s Dan Rather’s rather biased network) early-morning show (which probably inspired the creative geniuses to name it “The Early Show”) weatherman is in Iraq. They sent him there with singer Charlie Daniels to boost morale among the troops, because of course they figured the troops were in a funk—what with Bush sending them there against their will and all. The liberals are, as we know, all about boosting the morale of the troops in Iraq and they prove it by questioning their being there, suggesting it’s not worth it, suggesting that they’re complicit in a criminal war, and questioning every aspect of the war in excruciatingly negative detail every single day. Every hour. Repeated over and over in glorious color, never reporting on the good things happening there, ever.
But it’s not working out well. He’s reporting that troop morale is high and that things are looking good in Iraq! Nothing like the media portrays it back home! OOPS! (And of course that’s just funny.)
He was quoted as saying, “And throughout this whole journey, despite what the headlines that we read and see in the United States are, the morale of the troops may surprise you.”
And also saying this: “It was an amazing experience. I went to Iraq looking to lift spirits, but in the end, it was the soldiers who had done that for me.”
Well that ain’t liberal!
Need a job? Apply at CBS for a weatherman job! My guess is that they’ll bring THAT trooper home and cut and run on that little Iraq project, pronto.
CBS’s Dave Price Again Reports Enthusiastic Troop Morale in Iraq
Dave Price, the weather reader on CBS’s The Early Show, went to Iraq along with country music artist Charlie Daniels to entertain American troops. On Tuesday morning, Price gave the first part of a two part series detailing his travels and interaction with the troops. Matching what he reported last week from Iraq, Price reassured viewers that troop morale is high, and showed some comments from men and women in uniform. Price revealed: “I went to cheer up the soldiers, but in most cases, they didn’t need it.”
